Riyaaz gives you an opportunity to work with the maestros of illustration. At Riyaaz, while working on your skills and techniques of illustration, you would also explore the nuances of the texts. Layout and design are also an integral part of the course. Questions concerning the size of the illustration, placement of text, types of printing designing a two-page spread would be included in the course. During the course all students would be expected to design one-picture story. This would include working on an idea of a story, it’s drafting and editing, it’s sketching, and finally, design.
WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
The candidates seeking admission to the course should be graduates in Applied Art from recognized institutes of art with a keen interest in pursuing a professional career in illustrations, especially for children. Degree may not be necessary for talented candidates with a natural aptitude and interest in this field.
IN ADDITION, CANDIDATES MUST:
1.Be able to commit to eight days (for contact classes) every month for ten months.
2.Be passionate about illustration, especially for children.
3.Practice at home and be able to complete assignments in a timely manner.
4.Communicate with faculty outside a class setting.
5.Have an interest in literature.
COURSE FEE RS 40,000/- FOR THE DURATION OF THE COURSE.
*Includes art materials, accommodation and food during contact classes.
UPDATES & FEEDBACK Students would be required to maintain daily diaries, monthly sketchbooks. Monthly assignments would be graded and detailed feedback would be provided to every student. These monthly assignments would include in the final grading in the form of portfolio assessment.
SCHOLARSHIP Scholarships would be provided as per the needs of the candidates. Partial/Full scholarships would be offered to students on the basis of their financial situation.
